Welcome to my blog.

Probably the biggest question to answer right away is, “Why wonderful pessimist?” Well, it comes from a Ronald Reagan quote that I try to use as a reminder to myself never to get too discouraged by life. And, it seems, it’s a reminder I need more and more often lately. Future posts will make the “why” clear, but let’s just say that despite George W. Bush sitting in the White House for a second term, there are things happening in the world, this country and my own neck of the woods that I find disturbing and sad.
