Gore training environmental socialist militia

The former Vice President, Al Gore (D-Tenn.), an Oscar winner for his socialist environmental hype film, is training a private environmental militia, according to recent online reports. A group of 50 of an eventual 1,000 foaming-at-the-mouth volunteers are currently in training at Gore’s Tennessee farm and will soon be unleashed on America.

Their mission? To keep cramming the environmental lies contained in his film, An Inconvenient Truth, down America’s throat by having these volunteers travel the country, doing Gore’s PowerPoint presentation in his absence.

The Gore propaganda is predicted to spread faster without his personal involvement, yet it’s not like Gore’s information is as tested, tried and true as an education film on prescription drug addiction.

In fact, a growing number of scientists, including many of those listed on the alleged group of “2,500 of the world’s top scientists” the Gore spoke so glowingly of, are producing an increasing amount of contrary evidence with each passing weak.

The central theme to Gore’s socialist propaganda is that human-produced CO2 is destroying the environment by creating an effect called “global warming,” despite the fact that as recently as 1975, the same extremists were promoting the theory of “global cooling.”

Yet what Gore never acknowledges in his “Convenient Lie” propaganda is that human activity accounts for less than one tenth of one percent of all atmospheric CO2. The biggest source? The world’s oceans, via natural evaporation.

I could drone on endlessly about the lies and deceptions in Gore’s propaganda, but it’s easier and more believable if you research it yourselves: Check out the excellent BBC documentary, The Great Global Warming Swindle. That’ll set you straight!

Daily News’ Daly demogogues V-Tech killings

Mark it on your calendar. It didn’t even take 24 hours before an ivory tower, white, liberal jerk politicized the tragic deaths at Virginia Tech. As an entire state mourns the senseless and tragic killings of 32 students, as well as injuries to at least a dozen others, New York Daily News columnist Michael Daly was the first to jump on the incident for political purposes.

Or maybe he’s just an ass.

Virginia Tech, the state of Virginia, the nation and even to some degree the world has just suffered through the largest school killing in US history. You’d think Daly could at least wait until the dead are buried before making political hay out of the situation.

But no. That’d show some sign of shared humanity and soul. Daly lacks that. It’s all just an excuse for him to advance his liberal agenda.

Of course, some politicians and pundits from both sides will eventually do that, to one degree or another. But the degree of personally-insulting invective and snobbery Daly puts Virginia through is absolutely uncalled for.

Daly’s column insults all of Virginia, blaming them for not only the V-Tech shootings but for New York gun violence as well. He puts them through a battery of insults, as though it was something the university and the entire state deserved for… what? Supporting the second amendment, or something like that? He even blames them for looking the other way when an assistant to Sen. James Webb was caught carrying a gun around. Webb, by the way, is a Democrat, though that doesn’t seem to bother Daly. Huh?

You know, Don Imus was fired for fewer tacky words than this. I’m not Al Sharpton; I don’t believe people should be fired for exercising freedom of speech, no matter how idiotic that speech may be.

Daly’s choice of words is at least as contemptible as Imus’ words. That’s fine. He’s entitled to his opinion. But does Daly deserve an audience? Does he deserve to be read by anyone - liberal or conservative - after spouting such venom during a time of national mourning?

No.

A quick note about comments

I receive, believe it or not, a fairly steady stream of comments on Wonderful Pessimist and my other blogs. I enjoy the give and take most of the time, but there’s a reason I don’t publish many of them.

I’m not afraid to publish comments that take me to task, disagree with me or point out facts I’ve overlooked. What I don’t like is people who are too unsure of their own critiques to sign their real names.

It’s a pretty simple rule for feedback on Wonderful Pessimist: if you want a shot at having your rebuttal published (since I do moderate comments), then have the courage of your convictions enough to put your name to your comments. That’s the bare minimum. If you leave your identity blank, or you put up some abbreviation like “P2″ (hi P2) or put up an obviously made-up, fictional name (like Peter Parker) or some Internet handle (like JimmyCarterLover), you’re not getting your comment past me and onto my blog no matter how much I like and respect your comment.

I don’t hide who I am. Craig’s my real name. I put my name to all my blogs. I expect the same “courage of your convictions” from anyone who wants to comment on Wonderful Pessimist.

That being the minimum standard, I only have one other requirement: I won’t publish foul language or anything that smacks of racial hatred (like antisemitism) under any circumstances. I keep my comments intelligently argued, without foul language, and I expect the same of anyone else who wants to comment here.

So, keep that in mind, folks. I welcome the opinions of others, but if you won’t sign your name to your thoughts, can’t make your argument without cussing and make comments of a hateful nature, you’re not going to appear on Wonderful Pessimist.

However, if you wish to make an intelligent counterpoint argument, sign your name to it, and steer clear of hatred and foul language, I welcome comments from perspectives other than mine.

Nuff said.

Pelosi should face censure

“Brave.”

“Bold.”

“Courageous.”

The praise for Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been flooding in; but it’s not from the “usual suspects” like her Democratic colleagues or her willing accomplices in the press. No, the praise for Pelosi is coming, this time, from Islamic terrorists and state sponsors of terror. And she’s foolish enough to believe her own press.

Here are some samples from the WorldNetDaily.com article by Aaron Klein:

“Pelosi’s visit to Syria was very brave. She is a brave woman,” Jihad Jaara, a senior member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity.

“Nancy Pelosi understands the area (Middle East) well, more than Bush and Dr. (Condoleeza) Rice,” said terror leader Khaled Al-Batch, a militant and spokesman for Islamic Jihad. “If the Democrats want to make negotiations with Syria, Hamas, and Hezbollah, this means the Democratic Party understands well what happens in this area and I think Pelosi will succeed. … I hope she wins the next elections.”

“The Americans know and understand they are losing in Iraq and the Middle East and that their only chance to survive is to reduce hostilities with Arab countries and with Islam. Islam is the new giant of the world.” said Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas’ military wing in the Gaza Strip.

I have some more appropriate descriptions for Pelosi.

“Useful idiot.”

“Neville Chamberlain of the 21st century.”

“Traitor.”

During a time of war, in defiance of her own country’s foreign policy, Pelosi goes overseas to score political points against Bush and allows herself to be used by the enemy, gives aid and comfort to them, while overseas. Nice. Straight out of the Jane Fonda Political Workout video.

Speaker Pelosi needs to learn that there’s a big difference between being president and being Speaker. Republican Newt Gingrich lost sight of that in 1994 when he was Speaker and look where it got him. And Newt never took it this far.

Of course, since Pelosi’s a Democrat and “the first woman Speaker in US history,” she’ll get a pass on this by the drive-by media, just like always. If the tables were reversed and it was a Republican in the folding chairs opposite the president of Syria in defiance of a Democratic president, you can bet the New York Times itself would be calling for the death penalty for the GOP traitors. For Pelosi, though, they’ll look the other way.

Bush won’t go nuclear over this. Pelosi’s lucky Wonderful Pessimist isn’t in the White House; I’d suspend her visa and refuse to let her back in the US.
