Sounding a lot like Bush the Elder, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said the right words about the Iranian race to become a nuclear power. “No Iranian nukes, ever.”
In a statement that seems to put her at odds with President Obama, who’s never clearly opposed a nuclear Iran, Clinton said the right words to make Israel feel like the US is still an ally.
Can Israel… or even the rest of the US… trust the Secretary of State’s word on something this vital? Bloody unlikely. Better prepare some barcode scanner to count up all the nukes Iran is gonna be building over the next few years.
If we all live through it, perhaps the next GOP president can clean up the mess being made here.

AccuWeather.com is reporting that in July, over 3,000 new record low temperatures were set in July; this, despite the growing frenzy to “deal with climate change” in an Algore/Barry Obama nation.
This news comes from Jesse Ferrell’s blog at AccuWeather, and the information flies in the face of global warming claims. And that’s only in the US, by the way. Ferrell’s a careful, scientific guy who wasn’t necessarily looking for the added attention that comes with disputing Algore’s fevered fantasies of a falling sky.
At least someone knows how to respond to Chicken Little with real scientific data! Stuff like this offers real colon cleanse reviews for all the … manure? … Algore is shoveling with his Oscar-winning PowerPoint presentation.

Less than half the country – 49 percent – either slightly or strongly agree with President Obama’s job performance. Of those, only 30 percent strongly approve, a significant dip in the tracking poll published by Rasmusson Reports. Whether you consider that order fulfillment or wish fulfillment depends on the individual.
But a thin majority of Americans – 50 percent – disapprove of President Obama’s job performance. This shift in opinion could stem from Obama’s bull-headed insistence on getting a health care reform plan rushed through Congress before the August recess. Some new disapproval, however, comes from the slower timetable for withdrawal from Iraq that President Obama is embracing, rather than the “immediate withdrawal” he promised the far left when he was on the campaign trail.

One of President Obama’s most consistently controversial cabinet members so far is Attorney General Eric Holder, who despite Obama’s professed wishes not to “look back,” has revealed he’ll be wasting taxpayer money and time on trying to criminalize the actions of the administration they replaced.
In some of the most purple prose and yellow journalism to date in the “big slobbering love affair” with the Obama administration (as Bernard Goldberg has put it), Newsweek profiled Holder and made mad, passionate love to his rank partisanship (not to mention his golf training aids); the kind of partisanship that, if present in a GOP Attorney General, would be vilified and blown up to reach proportions that would cost him his job.
Some change, Barry.
