Anti-semitic Carter to speak to Dems

No matter what position Barack Obama takes on Israel, actions speak louder than words and that’s why the party’s plans to have former President and current antisemitic hate-monger Jimmy Carter address the Democratic National Convention next Monday is so disappointing.

WonderfulPessimist.com is in agreement with the Republican Jewish Coalition on calling for the Democratic party to remove Carter from the Denver convention program. Here is part of the RJC press release:

“Jimmy Carter’s long history of anti-Israel bias has rendered him unfit to address the Democratic Convention. It is incumbent upon the Democratic Party leadership and Senator Obama to remove Carter from the program in Denver. The Democratic Party and Senator Obama’s continued embrace of Carter and his anti-Israel bias sends a troubling message to the Jewish community. It stands in stark contrast to the GOP and John McCain’s pro-Israel stance,” said RJC Executive Director Matt Brooks. “Additionally, Senator Obama should reject Carter’s superdelegate vote. The hand that shook Khaled Meshal’s should not be allowed to rise in support of Senator Obama’s candidacy for president.”

We can even suggest some good moving services if Carter has already unpacked at his Denver hotel room. Next thing you know, the MoveOn.com Democratic Party will be inviting Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to give a keynote address and put Obama’s name into nomination. Yeesh.

The only one talking sense

In the wake of Jimmy Carter’s Hug A Terrorist tour of the Middle East, the only one talking sense from the perspective of Israel is former prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The popular conservative is speaking like Jeremiah in the streets of Jerusalem about the impending dangers of a nuclear Iran. Yet the news media ignores the problem as much as it can, and the US government mostly just stands by and watches Iran’s nuke build-up.

“This is not merely a local problem, this is a global problem. If Iran acquires nuclear weapons everything we have been talking about will pale in comparison,” Netanyahu said on Wednesday in a Newsmax.com story. “Their goals are unlimited. Whatever successes they have had so far, they don’t intend to stop. The militant Shiites in Iran are openly boasting that they are racing to develop nuclear weapons with the explicit announced goal of wiping Israel off the face of the map, and of reestablishing the caliphate, of course under militant Iranian rule.”

Rumors are already swirling that the US is planning a strike on Iran, though that seems a bit unlikely given the election year factor. Sure makes a person wonder what’s more important to worry about, a nuclear Iran or your kid whining about wanting new pool floats. Pretty elementary for most folks, eh?

Jimmy Carter’s antisemitism is growing

Maybe former President Jimmy Carter should just follow the version of the Golden Rule most of our mothers taught us: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

In his latest display of antisemitic idiocy, Carter complained that there are, and I quote, “too many Jews on the Holocaust council.” The absolute insanity of his statement is a disgrace to any legacy the failed president had left, and undoes all the goodwill he built running Habitat for Humanity the last couple decades or so. House painters and builders should offer their efforts to a cause not controlled by an antisemitic fellow like Carter, I say.

It’s bad enough that Carter is stoking the fires of antisemitism with the release of his new book on the Middle East, Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid. Now we find out that his antisemitism has been present for decades and kept hush-hush by the liberal media.

At least now, the truth is coming to light.
